Theracont Scientific LLC. is a US based company with multinational branches.
We design, compose and distribute each products to wholesalers and directly to consumers.
We offer antimicrobial solutions with all-natural active ingredients for therapy and control of the following bacterial and fungal infections.
Skin infections
Skin is a complex ecosystem in that several bacteria can be normally found. The density and composition of the skin normal flora is influenced by various factors, including anatomical locale, age, sex, moisture, sun exposition, pH, and immune system.
Superficial layers of the skin host several microbes, among them Gram-positive cocci (Staphylococcus epidermidis and Micrococcus sp.) and corynebacteria such as Propionibacterium sp. are the most frequents. These bacteria and also fungi primarly colonize the humid, sweaty areas of the skin like armpits, groins and under breast regions. These colonizing bacteria are generally nonpathogenic or harmless; even some of them are mutualistic, which means that their presence is beneficial for the health of skin.
Sometimes potentially pathogenic bacteria, forexample Staphylococcus aureus, is present for shorter or longer period of time mostly on the face and hands in individuals, but nevertheless, the normal flora itself does not cause infection, if the skin is intact. Skin infections typically can occur in those cases, when integrity of the skin is damaged (wound abrasion, cut or puncture), creation of a condition that help the appearance and proliferation of novel bacterium species, temporare or stable weakening or change of the immun-, or hormonal system, appearance of certain physiological conditions like diabetes.
Theracont Scientific offers therapy and control for some common skin infections. These infections are today treated by using antibiotics, against them resistance frequently emerges and by this treatments often lead to therapeutic failures. Products of Theracont Scientific LLC. do not contain classical antibiotics, are based on all-naturals antimicrobial compounds. With our products (KERACONT, THRASMAX, ATHLECONT and ATHLECONT-MAX) we offer solutions to treat the following infections:

Pitted Keratolysis is a superficial skin infection of the soles. It rarely affects the palms. Typical sysmptoms are the pits on the pressure bearing areas of the soles. At first small pits appear that later can spread and after a time the several small pits can form bigger craters. Itching, burning sensation and malodour are typical symptoms of pitted keratolysis. Several bacteria were described from pitted keratolysis and local treatment (e.g. KERACONT) is proper to defeat this infection.
Erythrasma is a bacterial skin infection that develops in areas where skin touches skin (such as the armpits, groin, or between the toes). These infection is more commonly seen in warm and humid climates and is typically caused by Corynebacterium minutissimum. Erythrasma tends to be chronic or long term skin condition if not treated, e.g. with THRASMAX. It is worth to mention that due to its location and appearance, erythrasma is often confused with fungal infections such as jock itch, however these latter ones are caused with fungal infections (see bellow).

Athlete’s foot (also called Tinea pedis or Onychomycosis), Jock itch and Ringworm are all fungal infection of the skin.
Athletes’ foot (Tinea pedis or Onychomycosis) is a common fungal infection that affects the skin on the feet. This infection is not serious, but cause unpleasant symptoms and sometimes hard to cure. The fungus can also spread to the toenails and the hands. Athlete’s foot can be caught by touching surfaces contaminated with the fungus. The fungus thrives in warm, moist environments and it is commonly found in showers, on locker room floors, and around swimming pools. First symptoms are itching and stinging on the feet, typically among the toes. Skin starts to crack among the toes and small blisters appear on the edge and soles. Treatment of simple cases is topical by using antifungal ointments (e.g. ATHLECONT). If you however have diabetes or a weakened immune system and suspect you have athlete’s foot, you should call your doctor right away.
Fungal infection with bacterial superinfection. In several cases the fungal infection promotes the colonisation of bacterial agents and by that a bacterial superinfection forms. In this stubborn combined infection such a therapy is needed that targets both the fungi and bacteria (e.g. ATHLECONT-MAX). The situation has to be prevented as opportunistic bacteria, such as Group A Streptococcus and Staphylococcus aureus, can colonize skin of the leg and through the damaged skin can spread into the deeper tissues. Please be aware, if you however have diabetes or a weakened immune system and suspect you have athlete’s foot, you should call your doctor right away.

Jock itch (tinea cruris) is a typical fungal infection that affects the skin of your genitals, inner thighs and buttocks. Jock itch causes an itchy, red, often ring-shaped rash in these warm, moist areas of your body. This infection is common in people who sweat a lot, as do athletes. It also is more likely to occur in people who are overweight. Although often uncomfortable and bothersome. It usually begins with a reddened area of skin that spreads out from the crease in the groin in a half-moon shape onto the upper thigh. The border of the rash may consist of a line of small, raised blisters. The rash often itches or burns, and the skin may be flaky or scaly. Simple antifungal treatments (e.g. ATHLECONT) is proper to treat this condition. It mostly affects males but also ocurs in females. Erythrasma is very similar to it if occurs at the groins, but that is contiguous.
Ringworm. In contrast to its name this infection does not caused by a worm, but a fungal agent. It can colonize any part of the body, starting from foot to scalp. Its telltale symptom is a red, scaly patch or bump that itches. Over time, the bump turns into a ring- or circle-shaped patch. It may turn into several rings. The inside of the patch is usually clear or scaly. The outside might be slightly raised and bumpy. You may notice that your hair starts to fall out in the affected patches. Ringworm can affect everybody, but it is a typical zoonotic disease. It means it spreads with the contact of animlas, like pigs, horses, cats and dogs. So if You are an animal friend it can occur, but do not panic, simple patches can be locally treated by antifungal ointments (e.g. ATHLECONT) either on humans or on animals.

Skin inflammation
Inflammation is the response of our body to foreign invaders. Our immune system detects and neutralize foreign invaders, such as infectious microbes and even cancer cells. When this happens, inflammation can occur.
There are many different types of cells in the immune system that are involved in inflammation. These cells release a variety of substances that can widen blood vessels and make them more permeable. This allows the immune response to reach the affected area more easily. It also leads to many of the symptoms associated with inflammation, including redness, heat, and swelling.
Some of the potential causes of skin inflammation are:
bacterial, viral and fungal infections, allergic reactions, photosensitivity, heat, immune systemic dysfunction and other genetic related factors.
Treatment of skin inflammation can be applied directly on your skin and based on the modulation of the immuncells. Beside that it is crucial to apply antimicrobial compounds to eradicate inflammation evoking agents like bacteria or fungi. There are also different home remedy practices that can be used to relieve skin inflammation, including:
- cool, wet compresses or wraps to help ease irritated skin,
- applying ointments or creams to avoid irritated and cracked dry skin
- taking vitamin D supplements, which may help with skin inflammation that’s associated with eczema,
- wearing clothing that has a smooth, soft texture,
- using phototherapy, or pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy which involves exposing the inflamed area to either natural or artificial light.
Antibiotic resistance
Antibiotics are medicines that fight bacterial infections. Used properly, they can save lives. But there is a growing problem of antibiotic resistance. It happens when bacteria change and become able to resist the effects of an antibiotic.
Unproper use of antibiotics can lead to resistance. Each time you take antibiotics, sensitive bacteria are killed. But resistant germs may be left to grow and multiply. They can spread to other people. It means that antibiotic treatment in more and more cases become ineffective. This situtation is a very serious global healthproblem.
Antibiotic resistance can affect anyone, of any age, in any country. It occurs naturally, but misuse of antibiotics in humans and animals is accelerating the process. Steps can be taken at all levels of society to reduce the impact and limit the spread of resistance. One option for that is to use alternative -non antibiotic based- medicaments like natural compounds with antimicrobial effects. Products of Theracont Scientific LtD promotes to these efforts by offering antibacterial and antfungal treatments based on all natural antimicrobial active compounds.
